Ep5 Brandy Vega Founder and CEO of Good Deed Revolution
Brandy Vega is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, journalist, instructor, and U.S Army veteran. She is considered an expert in marketing, advertising, public relations, broadcasting and social media. Her most recent endeavor is Good Deed Revolution, a nonprofit dedicated to changing the world one good deed, acts of kindness or pay it forward at a time, where she is founder and CEO. Good Deed Revolution produces videos featuring good deeds and shares them online to uplift, inspire and motivate others to be kind. Brandy is also the CEO of a video production company focusing on marketing and PR.
She graduated high school six months early and joined the Army as a broadcast journalist and public affairs specialist. She served in Kosovo and on several other deployments with distinction. Her time in the army also gave her the opportunity of briefing and interviewing senior United States officials including Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld and now former President of the United States George W. Bush. At just 20 years old, Brandy landed her first on-air reporting job with FOX news. She was the youngest reporter ever hired by that station! She went on to work in several markets over the course of her TV News career including stations in Phoenix and Utah. She currently freelances on occasion for several companies including the Associated Press, ABC News and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as an on-call employee. She has been there since 2004 working on the production of ‘Music and The Spoken Word,’ LDS General Conference and the Tabernacle Choir’s annual Christmas concert to name a few.
