Episode Notes: Principle Five for a Biz4Good Life!

Welcome to the Biz4GoodShow. I am your host Bobby Glen James with the… Ryan Pilkington. In episode 93 we discuss Principle #5: Our Thoughts and how it is applied in everyday life. In society, we are constantly being told to be positive all the time, but being negative kept us alive in the jungle. Worrying is why we lock our doors, worrying is why we protect ourselves. So to say, “don’t think negatively” is not the point.

“A single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” -Henry David Thoreau

The true concept behind thoughts are what controls you and what moves your life. Meaning, not necessarily being positive, but think of and pay attention to the good in your life. A person can view a situation in a bad or good light, either way. But if you are going with the intention of wanting to do good because it is the right thing to do and you are constantly trying to live your life like no one is watching, that is when you really feel and you become more genuine.

A lot of people let their hardships drag them down and define them, but again, it’s all about how you take action and perceive the situation. There is so much power in thoughts. It is all about the actions you put forth and the legacy you leave behind at the end of the day.

Outside-of-The-Box Question: Why did you choose to be involved in the Biz4Goodshow?

Sedrick Jacobsen- I like radio. I like listening to podcasts, sports radio, and things like that so I am game to help out and participate, especially when it’s something that’s good, like the Biz4GoodShow. Being good, doing good, and helping people out.

Bobby Glenn James- It’s cool, and this REALLY is fun. I don’t care if we have two listeners, this is a blast. I love getting up here and hanging out with cool guys, cool people, and neat folks of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. Today there is all kinds of mantabulaizhim going on.

I really love connecting with our whole message and I realized more people need to hear that they need to do more good.

It’s been a blast just meeting the people we have met and the connections that we have made. We would have never went down to the Outliers Podcast Festival and founded a whole Utah movement with the Utah podcast summit.

Dontrell Morrow- I love seeing the authentic creativity that goes on each week, It is refreshing. I love it!

Ryan Pilkington- I really wanted to grow a community of doing good and being good and sharing good things. I realized I needed to be spreading the good and I thought why not start a podcast and that’s when I called up Bobby and pitched the idea. The Biz4GoodShow has opened many doors for me, especially my ability to be more of myself.

Ileana Brown- I choose the Biz4GoodShow because it helped me step outside of my comfort zone and explore a whole new side to #BeGoodDoGood and their whole movement of #GoodAgainstTheNoise was inspiring. I think we all strive to do better, it is a part of human nature, and what better way to spread the movement, by sharing it with these fun, loving goofballs.
